It’s Fred’s first shift in his new job. He can’t quite believe they hired him. The company produces handmade voice coils. At a price of more than a thousand pounds per piece, they’re assembled on demand.

His job is to perform the final quality check and pack them up safely. He’s been told that his predecessor stole a few boxes. Fred decides he likes a secure job better. He closes the full box and carefully places the package in the pass-through to the dispatch department. He wonders why there’s a sparkling light effect, but then shrugs and closes the lid.
