Also, pup!verse is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. So I thought it would be fun to send their world into upheaval again ;-)

Becker went through the motions of what was just another crazy morning routine, preparing the kids' breakfast – they were teenagers now and still he was stuck making them breakfast because if he didn't they'd only shovel candy-coloured cereals in their mouths and perish a slow death by sugar by the time they turned 20, for fuck's sake – and then ushered them out the door to go to school.

Luckily, this morning brought minimal quarrels and near obedience because they had a maths test coming up in first period. Thank god for small mercies.

A/N: For the unofficial Halloween challenge in Primeval Denial. I am a bit late though, but at least I wrote it on Halloween 😉 Ditzy and Blade are fredbassett’s.

Fucking Halloween.

Ryan has never been one for Halloween, all the pseudo-scary bullshit just being an excuse to either get candy or drunk, depending on your age. All the people out and about just make their job more difficult. Not right now, though. He must admit that being called to an abandoned manor in the woods in the middle of the Halloween night adds a bit of spice. But Connor’s Gameboy says that there’s an anomaly inside, so that’s where they go. On Halloween, at 11.30pm.

The SUVs came to a screeching halt on the tattered tarmac. The ADD had picked up a signal in the countryside in Cambridgeshire. Becker jumped out of the car and stopped dead as soon as he turned towards the direction of the signal. He heard his squad and the two civilians get out of the cars. As soon as they had turned towards the anomaly, they stood still just like Becker.
