Becker had hated omega class at school. It represented the only option for him approved by society, and even the NHS: give birth, pupcare and running a household. That had never appealed to him and he’d fought tooth and claw to avoid it.

Yet here he was. A trembling Marcus in his reassuring hold, whispering soft words to distract him from the first-ever jab he was about to receive. 

Becker wished he had paid more attention during class at school. Maybe he’d be a better father to his pups if he had. But with Ryan by his side, they’d manage.

Forty days since carnival. They hadn’t had a day off in forty fucking days. 

If you’d ask Lester that wouldn’t be the truth. Of course, each of them had at least one day off a week, even though Stringer was off to a mission in some unknown place. And, yes, it was true. But it was also true that this never happened to be the same day for Becker and Ryan, considering they were both captains and lacking one of their rank at the ARC. And they’d always been on call on their days off. And sure enough, there’d always been an emergency and they got called in.
