Helen stared at the snow covered remains of a town. A few creatures that vaguely resembled the type of animals that you would have found on a farm during her home time were limping between collapsed buildings and cars that had been abandoned a long time ago. None of the animals looked healthy, rotting trees everywhere and only very few plants were defying the inhospitable era.

Helen felt snow beneath her feet and ice inside her soul. She needed to stop this. Prevent it from happening. The human race had forfeited its right to exist by destroying the whole planet.
