“Okay, go slowly. Watch your feet. Nice and slow,” Ryan coached Stephen through the motions as he carefully made his way over the frozen lake.

The look of concentration on the younger man's face made him fight a smile. Adorable.

“I think I got the hang of it now,” Stephen said confidently and increased his speed.

“Be careful!” Ryan warned but it was too late – Stephen lost balance on his skates, flailed and went down on the ice like Bambi.

“Ouch,” he winced.

“You hurt?” Ryan glided over to him.

“Only my pride.”
