Claudia’s ready to just stop the car and cry. 

She must have crossed an invisible line because suddenly there is snow everywhere. The flakes come down hard with a harsh wind. She’s got the heating on high, directed to the windscreen, the wipers run fast, but the snow still piles up and blocks her view.

She goes 10 mph, but she’s got no clue where she is on the road – her lane, the wrong lane or too close to the ditch. 

And just like that, she leaves the snow globe and there is not a single snow flake in sight.
