Ryan would pick Jenny up for an anomaly alert in a few minutes. Just enough time to put on her coat and leave her boring school reunion. Her old friends had moved away, and the rest of them was still narrow-minded and fake. Voices drifted around the corner.
„Can you believe Jenny's among the leftovers?“
„She's always been a stone-cold bitch. Wouldn't want to risk your dick freeze off.“
„Jacob!“
„What? It's true.“
Ryan chose that moment to arrive and plant a kiss on Jenny's lips.
„Ready to go, babe?“
Jenny grinned and walked away.
